Sam Chalmers - Street Dance Technique instructor

Sam studied locally at Oakmead School, and begun teaching with Pure Funk at the very young age of 17 (many moons ago) After developing his teaching skills a little within Pure Funk he went on to start his open projects and classes locally within different settings, aiming to reach out more and help his local community through his infectious passion for dance.

Sam inspires many people through passing on his dedication and love of performing, and he is a very talented and caring teacher. And a true perfectionist, when it comes to street technique - his main styles being waving, tutting, poppin, and break.

Sam returned to the Pure Funk family (with open arms, awww!) in 2009 and is now heads ‘ROCKiT’, the boys faculty of Pure Funk, alongside Rich. And he is thrilled to no longer be labelled ‘the baby’ of the group - woohoo!
