DANCE CREW
Founded in Summer 2006 by Amy Beveridge and Exlis Staddon, Pure Funk’s DANCE CREW has become something of a breeding ground for local commercial dance talent in the areas of Bournemouth and Poole.
‘Dance Crew’ members are successful through annual audition and this form of training is aimed at those who display particular talent and passion for this genre of dance. As of September 2008 Pure Funk Dance Crew will be offering a UNIQUE dance package to the area, specifically aimed at gifted and talented young people.
This high quality experience and tailored training aims to provide the link for those hoping to become a more ‘all rounded’ dancer, aiding their preparation to pursue a career in the commercial dance world. Complimentary to their weekly dance training elsewhere, Pure Funk will provide a one day timetable of weekend classes in break dance and gymnastic skills, modern and contemporary dance technique, choreography exploration, and commercial dance for performance.
Auditions are held every August in the Bournemouth area. There are two Dance Crew age splits of 12-17rs and 18-35yrs (paid work for Crew over age 18yrs).
