Born in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, Exlis has a strong love of break and streetdance. He is also an amazing self taught acrobat, and has professionally danced in various dance groups and venues locally and in London since he left training.
He has a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts and Dance, gained whilst studying at Jellicoe Theatre Poole College.
Exlis is Co-founder of Pure Funk Senior Dance Crew. He is also a former member of ‘Darkside’ - a group that came second in the UK GWI Street Dance Championships in 2003.
He has worked extensively in schools in the Dorset and surrounding areas, as well as leading workshops for private groups such as ‘Spirit in Motion’. Exlis is well known for his fast paced and energetic choreography, and he also offers individual breakdance tuition for anyone that feels brave!
