AMY BEVERIDGE

‘PURE FUNK’ founder member and organiser. Amy has had 15 years training in ballet, modern and tap dancing and then went on to train in street and hip hop.
She has taught at various schools, dance and theatre organisations. Training and qualifications include Diploma in Child Psychology, Advanced Studies in Drama and Devised Theatre for 4 years at Jellicoe Theatre Poole College and Bretton Hall in Leeds, and a U.C.E. in Junior Yoga.
Trained and fully qualified by Premiere International as an Exercise to Music professional, Amy is now an accredited ‘URBAN FUNK’ Instructor on the Register of Exercise Professionals.
Whilst always being inspired by hip hop and the commercial dance world, Amy’s varied training in the industries of dance, arts, and fitness have resulted in a unique method and teaching style that is evident in her choreography and class work. This led to her creation of ‘Pure Funk’ Commercial Dance Workshop Co. in June 2005.
